Fifth World Conference

The Fifth World Conference on Metaphysics will be held at the ARSO Conference Center (Via Aurelia 773, 00165 Rome), Novembre 8-10, 2012.

Since 2000 this Conference, held every three years, has established itself as an international forum for interdisciplinary dialogue bringing together hundreds of representatives of the most varied academic fields and research interests. It has been a source of mutual enrichment, not only intellectually, but in human terms, fostering a search for the ultimate grounding of each area of specialization in close interaction with other fields.

Metaphysics considers conceptions of the absolute in relation to all finite realities. This perspective directly concerns all thought which seeks authentic depth and embraces both the sciences of the spirit and empirical sciences.

We have proposed a post-Conference Seminar, November 12-14, entitled The Renewal of Metaphysical and Mystical Perspectives: Social, Cultural, and Scientific Implications. This Seminar will be especially devoted to the relevance of Fernando Rielo’s work for contemporary thought. These sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the afternoons will be left free. Until June 30, 2012 those wishing to attend may register for a fee of €250, which includes lunch, coffee breaks, Conference materials, and the publication of papers by way of the CD which will be distributed at the start of sessions. Abstracts must be sent by June 30, and the final texts of presentations must be submitted by August 31, 2012 in order to prepare them for distribution at the Conference.
